in 1999 Simon Chadwick and Richard Crees decided to take the basic ethos of the beach buggy idea and modernise it.
Having been involved with the construction and restoration of numerous beach buggies for over 15 years, as well as being founder members and committee members of the Midland Buggy Club, it was easy for them to analyse the good and bad points of previous buggy designs.
The all new Doon Buggy is the fruit of their labours, the name Doon coming from the Black County (a distinct area in the West Midlands) pronunciation of the word Dune, as well as allowing for the design of the company logo.
