Steve Graber designed the Bala and was constructed by himself, alone, in his 2 car garage on weekends and some weekday evenings. Steve designed and fabricated every custom part using simple hand tools. He also designed the chassis, suspension and bodywork.

Steve used the book "Tune to Win" by Carroll Smith as a guideline for the suspension geometry and with assistance from Alan Bertwistle. The only custom fabricated part not made by Steve are the front suspension balljoint pucks.
