Javan Sports Cars Ltd was formed in 2003 with one single aim - to design and build the ultimate track and road sports car.

Company founder, Javan Smith, has held a passion for motorsport from a very early age and was actively involved in the industry until moving to Cornwall in the late eighties. In fact, Javan's name is synonymous with highly intricate and superbly detailed scale-models, which he has produced for a number of racing teams and enthusiasts.
The opportunity to make the transition to full scale development arose in 2002 and together with Production Director, Andrew Fletcher, Javan set about turning a dream into reality.
The exhilarating Javan R1 is the result and in 2006, with the first prototype ready, the company moved to its present manufacturing base in Helston, Cornwall.

The R1 is seen as just the start of a number of highly-focused and track-biased road cars to fall under the Javan brand. Plans are already in place to produce a 'totally-track' version of the R1.
