Santana Motor, S.A. is a car factory located in Linares, in the province of Jaun, the only compnay in the sector that is 100% backed by Spanish capital.
Santana Motor now has a direct of more than 600 employees and nearly 3,000 indirect employees in the uaxiliary industry.
Since it was founded, Santana Motor has carried out various activities within the motor trade, manufacturing offf-road vehicles under license for Land-Rover Ltd. and, at the same time, gear boxes for Citroen Hispania.
It later manufactured vehicles under the Santana brand, until reaching an agreement with the Japanese firm Suzuki Motor Corporation to manufacture Suzuki off-road vehicles.
To date, Santana Motor has manufactured nearly one million off-road vehicles, wich makes Santana one of the largest specialists worldwide in work, adventure and leisure.
In 2003, the Santana Anibal was released on the market, an off-road vehicle developed fully in-house by the company. The Anibal provides a response for companies and individuals who need a tough, versatile vehicle as a working tool. Afetr hard trials, it was recently chosen as official vehicle by the Spanish armed forces for loads up to 1,000Kgs.
All this allowed Santana Motor to set a benchmark in the motor trade in Spain during its more than 48 years in existance, becoming the flagship of the vehicle industry in Andalucia.
