Vision Industries is a California company which was formed in 1996, by John Misumi. From 1996 to 1997, the company was primarily engaged in research and development of the K2. Engineering and design development was the major focus during this timeframe. In 1998, Vision Industries will complete a majority of the design development, and will start to move into the marketing and pre-production phases.
Production is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter in 2001. Vision Industries is financed solely by the management team, and no outside investment has ever been solicited or accepted. Therefore, the company is completely debt free, and is in a strong financial position focused on long term growth and profitability.
Vision Industries is to become an American manufacturer of state-of-the-art, technology oriented, world class performance vehicles which will compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and other exclusive automobile manufacturers. The name is derived from one of the highest peaks in the world - named "K-2". The VISION K2 is designed and engineered to be one of the world's most technologically advanced, highest quality, ultra- performance vehicles. Advanced aerodynamic design; military specification systems and components; aircraft derived instrumentation; and advanced modular assembly, manufacturing, and production processes contribute to the description "state-of-the-art". The VISION K2 is designed as a mid-engine rear wheel drive and all wheel drive two passenger sports coupe.
The mission of the company is to design, engineer, and manufacture PERFORMANCE with respect to quality, value, style, comfort, efficiency, and,safety in a technically advanced, state-of-the-art automobile.
The evolution of the VISION K2 is a cumulation of several years of product planning, including engineering, design, and market research. The result is a vehicle catering to the demands of a select group of individuals who share a passion for driving.
