Vauxhall Light Six poster. The name of Vauxhall was synonymous with the area of London where the cars were manufactured. The Light Six was launched on 14th June 1933 and was an immediate success. There were two models; a 12 H.P. with a new price tag of only £195 plus a 14 H.P. - price new £215. By the end of the year, 10,000 were sold and over 20,000 were sold in 1934. The success of these models was mainly due to their affordable price. (available at Art Of Motoring)
