The MP was built in Brazil and was created to honor the distinct personality of the MGTD-1952, a modest project of the small Morris garage which became one of the biggest classics of the history of the automobile.
It was equipped with Volkswagen's 1600 (Brasilia) 1584 cc engine with a maximum out out of 65hp.
Approximately 4,300 were built over a 16-year span, primarily in two models - the classic MP and the TI -- before Lafer ceased production.
