This unique car is availble both as a factory built car to your individual specification, or in component form for the enthusiast to build using a Jaguar XJ.

The W152 reproduces the classic style of the front engined Grand Prix cars, and combines today's performance with reliability, safety and advanced composite materials, creating a classic racing car that you can drive on the public highway in a powerful Jaguar powered Ronart W152

The W152 is one of the few cars in production today which truly represents the classic British racing car. Its blend of high power, wonderful handling and phenomenal performance make the W152 a rare sight on today's roads.

The W152 is today a classic in its own right, and is a perfect throwback to the sight and sound of the magnificent racing machines of a long gone era.

Conceived in 1981, following a visit to the Daimler-Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany, the Ronart W152 went into full production in 1986. Since then continued development has resulted in what the motoring press and owners of the W152 consider the closest interpretation of a typical racing car of the 1940's and 50'sCars that featured mostly in the design of the W152 were the Mercedes W154/196, the Maserati 250F and the HWM Jaguars of the time. Additional influences of Lotus, Vanwall, Aston Martin etc. can be seen.

Low production numbers of these hand built cars ensure customers are part of a highly individual and unique group of drivers.

Since production began in 1984, the W152 has remained in a class of its own - the quality of construction and high degree of factory backup services have provided our customers with the correct choice.

Ronart.
The Ronart Company was founded in 1984 by Arthur Wolstenholme, specifically to recreate a thrilling experience for the driver in feel, sight and sound of the magnificent racing machines of the 1950's era.

Ronart gained a high reputation for its products both in UK and abroad. Whilst most cars were for the UK market cars have also been in LHD form in South America, USA, Japan, Germany & France.

In 1984 Arthur began designing cars of which his first car was on display at the National Classic Motor Show of 1985. Called the Alicat, the aluminium bodied, Jaguar powered sports racing car had great potential and the decision made to go forward with the design of the W152.

The following year saw development of the W152. This car was completed and first used in October 1986.

In 1987 Ronart Cars Ltd, was formed to manufacture the W152 in Peterborough and to date over 100 cars have been completed.

In 1999 Arthur Wolstenholme designed the Ronart Lightning which was first displayed at the 1999 London International Motor Show, Earls Court where over twenty orders were taken at the show stand on its debut.

In July 2004 Arthur Wolstenholme signed up the historic Vanwall name designing the Vanwall Grand Prix Racer V12 and the Vanwall Sports Racer. The former appearing on BBC2 Top Gear driven by presenter Richard Hammond.

Production of the Ronart cars were continued by Vanwall Cars and in 2006 the last petrol engine powered Ronart Lightning, a supercharged 4.6 litre V8 was being built.

In 2010 the Ronart W152 continues to be available in both kit form and built up to customer specification by the Vanwall factory.
