2012 Audi A3.

Powerful yet Efficient 2.0 TFSI® Engine.
The award-winning 2.0 TFSI engine provides 211 hp and 258 lb-ft. of torque and combines Audi valvelift system, variable valve timing and TFSI® direct injection for increased power and efficiency. The Audi 2.0 TFSI® has been the engine of choice for more than 1.3 million Audi drivers worldwide and is one of the most awarded engines of the last decade.

TDI® Clean Diesel Technology.
A combination of direct diesel injection and turbocharging allows the 2.0 liter TDI® clean diesel engine to deliver an impressive 236 lb-ft. of torque and produce 140hp. It also meets or exceeds all 50 states emissions requirements, producing 30 percent fewer CO2 emissions than a comparable gasoline engine.

S tronic® Dual-clutch Transmission.
Not only does the S Tronic® dual-clutch transmission deliver an exhilarating driving experience, it also offers the advantage of increased fuel efficiency. Its rapid-fire shifting creates an uninterrupted power flow from the engine to the transmission, resulting in up to 10% better fuel efficiency compared to conventional five-speed automatics.

Sportback Versatility.
In the A3, form and function work seamlessly. Take the exterior for instance. The exhaust tips and surrounding rear diffuser create a sporty look, while the Sportback design with large rear hatch makes loading and unloading virtually effortless.

LED Daytime Running Lights.
The signature LED daytime running lights not only add a distinct look to the vehicle, they also improve visibility while using half of the energy of conventional bulbs.

S line® Styling.
From any angle, the Audi A3 appears strong and athletic. Its low, wide stance declares it’s ready for any curve. The exterior is further enhanced with the standard S line® front and rear bumpers, rear roof spoiler, fender badges and a number of distinct wheel options. Everything comes together to exude a powerful look that signals the A3 as a part of a family of cars in which performance is paramount.

Open Sky Panorama Sunroof.
The easy-to-operate Open Sky system includes a two-piece glass sunroof offering the driver and passengers natural light, an unobstructed view overhead and a continuous flow of fresh air within the cabin.

Titanium Sport Package.
Inspired by the Audi motorsport legacy, the available Titanium Sport Package includes a number of aesthetic and performance enhancements. Exterior elements include 18" 5-arm Rotor Design wheels in titanium finish, and the iconic Singleframe® grille flanked by black elements. Inside, the aggressive look is continued throughout with an exclusive black headliner, Piano Black inlays and S line® sport seats with perforated Alcantara® inserts and S line doorsills. Optional roof rails are black with this package.

Designed for Versatility.
Every aspect of the A3 blends sophisticated refinement with versatile utility. The luxurious interior is spacious enough to accommodate large-capacity loads up to 39 cu. ft., thanks to the 60/40 split-folding rear seats and five-door Sportback design.

Standard Leather Steering Wheel and Seating Surfaces.
High quality leather is integrated throughout the interior of the A3. Leather furnished features include the leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel as well as the seating surfaces, which complement the vehicle seat design while enhancing the overall interior style.

Audi Navigation plus with Real-time Traffic.
The DVD-based Audi Navigation system plus features a full-color 6.5'' LCD screen and MMI®-inspired control logic for AM/FM and SIRIUS Radio® functions, real-time traffic, a six-CD changer in the glove box or iPod® integration through Audi Music Interface, and two SD® card slots for your MP3 music. Navigation information is given as audible route-guidance prompts and turn arrows via the color driver information system as well as a detailed color map on the main screen; five languages are available.

Bluetooth® Mobile Phone Preparation.
The advanced technology of the Audi A3 allows you to conveniently access your Bluetooth-enabled phone’s features via the driver information system and Navigation System, allowing for easy, intuitive, hands-free communication.

Standard SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Enjoy the seamless integration of SiriusXM Satellite Radio in your Audi. With a three-month trial subscription to the “Sirius Select” package you’ll hear the music you want without the hassle of commercials, CDs or playlists. Get live play-by-play action of your favorite sports, plus comedy, talk, news, entertainment, family programming and more. All with coast-to-coast coverage, wherever you drive. Welcome to the world of SiriusXM.

Audi Music Interface.
This connective technology offers intelligent integration with the iPod®. Any iPod® Generation 4 and higher may be connected through the glove box, providing full iPod® controls on the MMI® screen. This feature allows connection of a USB flash drive or a conventional auxiliary audio input as well.

Rear split-folding Seats.
The 60/40 split-folding rear seats offer the versatility of multiple configurations and a maximum cargo capacity of 39 cu. ft.

Standard Driver Information System.
Located in the center of the instrument cluster in a high-resolution display screen, the driver information system delivers important vehicle information into an easy-to-read interface.

Standard Dual-zone Climate Control.
Occupants in the driver and front passenger seats can select and control their desired level of heating or cooling via the center console. A light sensor on the dashboard adjusts the system based on the sun’s intensity.

The Only All-wheel Drive Luxury Sportback on the Market.
The A3 offers an impressive number of premium characteristics: progressive design, convenient versatility and sophisticated luxury to name a few. Among those traits is the only luxury Sportback vehicle to offer the option of quattro®, the world’s most advanced all-wheel drive system.

Performance-ready MacPherson Suspension.
The A3 offers precise handling due to a number of innovations. One of those innovations is the MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, which provide a high level of lateral rigidity and inspire total confidence in any turn.

Sport Package Suspension.
For more performance-oriented handling characteristics, the Sport Package and Titanium Sport Package include a lower, firmer suspension that’s specially tuned for greater handling performance while also offering a low, assertive stance. Each package includes specially designed sport seats that offer greater lateral support during spirited driving.

S tronic® Dual-clutch Transmission.
Constant power through lightning-fast gearshifts. The concept behind the S tronic® Dual-clutch Transmission is simple to comprehend and thrilling to experience. Utilizing two clutches, it ensures you’re given a selected gear the moment you select it. With a mere 0.2 seconds between shifts, there is no loss of momentum, no loss of RPM and no lag between gears.

Responsive Servotronic® Steering.
Servotronic® is speed-dependent power steering in which the amount of power assist provided is dictated by road speed, providing even more comfort and convenience for the driver. The amount of power assist is greatest at low speeds, making it easier to maneuver the car. At higher speeds, an electronic-sensing system gradually reduces the level of power assist, creating a tighter, more dynamic steering feel.

High-strength Steel Body with Energy-absorbing Crumple Zones.
When prevention isn’t enough, the combination of crumple zones and high-strength steel helps deliver a tremendous level of protection for the driver and passengers. Crumple zones, at the front and rear of the vehicle, are designed to help dissipate the energy and force of a collision by deforming upon impact. The high-strength steel used in and around the occupant cell is designed to protect the integrity of the passenger compartment and those within it.

Advanced Braking System.
Audi has implemented a number of ingenious features to help maximize braking effectiveness. In wet conditions, the brake disc wiping system gently pulses the brakes to help dissipate water buildup. Keeping the discs as dry as possible helps promote the most effective braking. Additionally, the brake assist system is able to detect an attempt at full braking and apply full stopping power when required. The advantage is that braking distance is significantly reduced.

Six Standard Airbags.
The six standard, second-generation airbags provide an additional measure of safety. They include front-impact airbags for the driver and passenger and are designed to help protect the head. Seat-mounted, side-impact airbags for the front seat occupants are designed to help protect the thorax in a collision. And the side-curtain airbags offer front and rear occupants head protection in the event of a side collision or rollover.

ESC.
Audi has always held firm the belief that prevention is the best safety feature of all. And the Audi A3 offers an abundance of features designed to help keep you out of harm’s way. For instance, the Electronic Stability Control is a vehicle dynamics management system that applies brakes to individual wheels to help make the vehicle easier to control in adverse conditions. Helping to reduce the danger of swerving and improving directional stability, the program identifies the car's intended direction and responds accordingly.
