1916 Federal truck plaque.
The Federal Motor Truck Company was located in Detroit, Michigan, USA. from 1910 to 1940, then again from 1944 to 1959.
In 1927 and 1928, Federal had sold about 3500 units but by the time the depression had rolled in, sales plummeted to around 1300. Diamond T was their primary competitor and by the late 1920s they took over the lead and never lost it.
