King was located in Detroit, Michigan and although the King was named after its founder, Charles B. King, with prices ranging from $1,400 to $4,235, this was not a car for the average citizen.

The King Motor Car Company was located at 1300 to 1324 Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. Their New York Agency and Showrooms was at Broadway at 53d Street and their New York Service Department was at 244 to 252 West S4th Street.
In their 1913 ad for their Model-B which sold for $1,095, they stated that "The first car run on the streets of Detroit was made by Chas. B. King, nineteen years ago."
