Karl Benz applied for a patent for this vehicle (the first with an internal combustion engine) on January 29, 1886. It had a horizontal single cylinder, four-stroke 954cc engine developing 0.75 HP at 400 rpm. It weighs 584 pounds and achieved 24 mpg. The one and only original can be found at the German Museum in M√ľnich, Germany.

This replica sold for $37,950 on April, 4th, 2013 at the Barrett-Jackson West Palm Beach auction. Narrator and special thanks to Gerd Opderbeck.
